      A Switch Is A Switch Is A Switch - D-Link DES-1008E - Good Switch

      Nothing wrong with this one.. It may be a bit old school and big, but it still has a place in your network... I like that I can mount it on a wall, which then allows the cables to hang from the bottom, and gives me a clear visual to the status LED. I've installed a number of these in an industrial environment, and the 8 Ports are a benefit over smaller switches. In that setting they have not caused me any problems. I recommend these 9 port switches and will buy more as I need them.

      D-LINK DES-1008E Desk Top Switch

      This is my second unit.. I like them... Never given me a problem... It just works... My 1st unit was hit by lightning along with a lot of other stuff.. I think It's an excellent product.

      every D-link Ethernet Item I have ever bought has been good quailty never had an issue. will become outdated / obsolete before it dies
