"One of the most enduring and unusual heroes in detective fiction." THE BALTIMORE SUN Now that Linda "Pidge" Lewellen is grown up, she tells Travis McGee, once her girlhood idol, that either she's going crazy or Howie, her affable ex-jock of a husband is trying to kill her. • A different type of Travis Mcgee story but very good!

I have all the Travis Mcgee books! I like the way the story always changes and the end is never known! John D. MacDonald was a great story teller!!! I know you will enjoy the book and want to read the others! The books are a bit dated by todays standards, but I like that too!
