Unfortunately, these jeans are knock-offs. They were advertised as stretch. I own the same Alberto stretch jeans. These are not those. There is no stretch at the waist or the butt at all. These pants simply do not stretch like the many Albertos I own. The seller refuses refunds because what he's advertising as stretch Alberto's are, at best an expensive knock-off. His absurd explanation for the absence of stretch was that I hadn't worn them yet. What an expensive and unfortunate lesson.

This is provably false if you showed these jeans to any neutral expert who can identify knock-off Alberto from authentic.
Yes, we said that unworn jeans often don't fit as well initially.
Additionally, we mentioned that Alberto Jeans are stretch/cotton blends (as opposed to being stretch or non-stretch) which is to say that the blend is not uniform among all types of Alberto Jeans and your pair is not likely going to match up with another.
