Couple things to note: 1) Buy a 2.0 64GB USB thumb drive, it's like $8 on amazon but it's worth it. 2) Download / extraction takes a long time, be prepared to let your computer sit. 3) Upload to your car takes a very long time as well, be prepared to let your car sit (preferably running) for 1 hour.

I want to say "Thank You". This was a really scary for me. Apreciate the links that show step by step as directed in your emails. It went FLAWLESSLY! Took abt 45 min, my 535i last update 2020.
This purchase allowed to update navigation myself saving apprx. $762. That's right, dealership wanted to charge me $600, plus a code fee of $170. 64GB USB was just enough. Forever grateful for the price charged, WAY REASONABLE, & guidance provided to make this less scary & UPDATE SUCCESSFUL!
