These are powerful blenders,most that you buy in the stores are around 4 to 5 hundred watts, these are over double that . large pitcher, multi blades make short work of whatever you are blending but also make it difficult to fill with large chunks do to the blades all the way up the center of the pitcher. Just need to make pieces smaller. Would be nice if it had interchangeable blades.1 tall and 1 short. One little problem
The thing is a super blender BUT the safety mechanism that is built in has to be defeated for it to operate at all. The lid has a pin that has to properly depress a plunger that is supposed to operate a switch that enables the motor to run. It almost never works. I have to defeat this safety feature 99% of the time. I have two of them with multiple lids. An EXcellent blender!
This is a fabulous blender! Sooooo easy to clean and really powerful. I haven't had a chance yet to try it for anything except my green smoothies, which involves pulverizing raw veggies and frozen fruit and veggies, and it is exceptional at turning that conglomeration into an ultra- smooth drink. My only disappointment in the device so far is completely MY problem and not related to the manufacturing. I did not notice how LARGE the container is before purchasing! I have a very small kitchen and really don't need a blender quite this large. This blender could probably make margaritas for an entire clan in one container. The base is nice and compact though. Ninja 1000 watt Professional Blender
Good at turning ice cubes into snow for snow cones. Poor at blending blackberries leaving all the seeds whole in smoothies. Need a more expensive Blendtec or Glantop Blender that runs at 40,000+rpm to liquefy blackberry seeds.

Bit of a learning curve, but overall pretty good.
It's taken me a few tries to get the hang of it, but I think I'm liking it. It aerates the mixture more than my old Oster Beehive blender, so if you add ice, you get ice cream rather than an iced drink. I add milk or cold water now that I've figured that out. I can't make it as cold as I'd like, which is why only 4 stars. It has a harder time with orange peels. I shave the top layer off with a potato peeler and use the rest. It has a harder time breaking down the inner pulp, but I just leave the blender running longer, and it does the job.It's taken me a few tries to get the hang of it, but I think I'm liking it.
