About this product

Product Information

College hoops continue on Xbox 360 with NCAA Basketball 09, which introduces several significant features to help distinguish it from its March Madness predecessors. First and foremost is the new gameplay engine based on the publisher's NBA Live 09. New team-specific tendencies have been added to enhance the realism, and players can dictate the game's tempo by slowing down or speeding up the on-court action as needed. To gauge your performance, you'll hear real-time feedback and tips from actual NCAA coaches on the sidelines.

More than 1,000 new animations have been included, and individual athletes are designed to move more swiftly than in previous games. Full-court presses and traps are now part of your strategic repertoire, and you'll see how your favorite school compares to other Division I teams with ratings and scouting reports from the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook. Also new is the ESPN Classic Tournament of Legends, which pits 64 all-time great teams against each other to decide which program is the top of the class. Compete against an adjustable computer opponent or challenge others on Xbox Live.

Reaches the Final Four but NCAA 2K8 is still Champion

I bought the '07 version of March Madness and this one really improved in all areas. I've only done exhibition games as of now. If you're a fan of EA's style of college b-ball then you will like this, especially if you skipped the '08 game! I really like how they play in the post and how the momentum really shifts, like how it does in real college ball. So, there you have it. You can get this game that's reasonably priced or pay out the wazoo for '10. 😏

  • EA needs a major pat on the back.

This game is SO realistic. EA does a great job with recreating the college atmosphere, being a college student myself at a basketball school. Fight songs and student section chants so accurate that I find myself chanting along with my favorite team. Many different gameplay options to keep you busy for a LONG time. Dynasty mode is really fun, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the EA Locker. All you need is Xbox live and you can download a roster file from the locker to make the game even more realistic. The roster file barely takes up your memory. This game is definitely worth the money.

  • Best basketball game ever

This game designed by ea sports is possibly the greatest basketball game of all time. There are several different game modes that you can play, to keep you interested in the game. One of the new features is the tournament of legendss. In this game mode you are allowed to compete with the best teams of all time. If you are an Illinois fan, you can be the 2005 national runner up team, and play in a 64 team style tournament against legends like Indiana State's Larry Bird, and Michigan State's Mateen Cleaves. The dynasty mode is also once again spectacular. With features such as year round recruiting and campus facility upgrades, you will spend all day thinking about what you are going to do when you get home and play this game.

  • Great game completes my collection.

Love the game it completes my NCAA basketball games from 2002 on PS2 through this Xbox 360 games as well. I have all the real name rosters as well

  • Great sport poor game

I am a student at the #1 ranked University of North Carolina so of course I didnt like Kevin Love on the cover but that's only the begining in a game where tempo is key this one runs awfully slow. Unfortunately its the ONLY college basketball game. The tempo meter does not add to the value of the game and the only feature in this game thats worth mentioning is the rivalry games you can play online I can match up with some poor shmuck at Duke anytime I want other than that the game pretty much sucks don't buy it unless you just have to have a college hoops game. They removed the title march madness for a reason.
