Pricey... but bell like clarity.
Monel is a high nickel-copper alloy that is very corrosion resistant. The EQ spectrum has slightly less bass and low-mids than bronze strings but the slow decay of the upper register harmonics gives the monel strings good sustain. Hopefully, they will retain that clarity for a long time if kept clean. The Custom Light set (.011-.052) has a nice feel, medium soft tension but not sloppy. Bar chords are comfortable, moderate bends are easy and finger picking is percussive. So far, I'm pleased with the sound and feel. for the player who doesn't love Bright strings, including ME
Like these strings Very much, they last a long time, have more of an analogue earthy sound, (not digital). Better than most. Sound has a Tinge more silk/steel sound (which I like) but volume & longevity still there so Better!

If you are looking to give your acoustic guitar an earthier tone, try these strings for size. I was used to phosphor bronze strings on my Martin OO-18 and Taylor 814ce, but sometimes they can be a little too bright. These retro strings sound bright but not harsh, with a robust tone. Maybe you won't like them, which I understand, but maybe they would appeal to you. They don't sound dead, just darker. I prefer them on the Martin, and they work well on the Taylor, but the Taylor has a brighter high end and the phosphor bronze serves it better. A change of pace.
