You Can Do This
1st step is make sure there is almost NO GAS in the tank, You have to lift it out of the old skid plate, I used a motorcycle floor jack to lift and support the old rotten skid plate and to position the new one, Worked Perfect,, Im in the Northeast but all bolts were NOT rusted, Spray all bolts with PB Blaster a few days before the job, There is 1 bracket in the front edge near the rear axle, and 1 bracket at the rear edge by the bumper, and a heat shield next to the tail pipe to loosen, then the 2 tank straps as they hold the tank to the skid plate NOT the car.
