Excellent game!
This DS game is a must have for any DS or 3DS user. Looks even better on the XL consoles. A hidden gem for sure. Great mix of platforming, run and gun, and dungeon/maze crawling. You'll get hooked within minutes.

Oh hell of a fan service!
Aliens Infestation is a game that caught my eye as soon as I saw previews of it (at PAX I believe). To me it looked like a mix of Contra/Metroidvania/Aliens. And thats exactly what you get! It is a great game that seems to have been really been done with care and concern of the series. It can be tough at times but as you explore the world you will get different weapons (shotgun, flamethrower, smartgun). Each can be upgraded 3 times as well. There is a heft amount of characters that can join your colonial marine squad as well, but you can only have 4 at a time. If one squadmate dies, he is gone forever and when you find another soldier wandering around in the world, he will join your squad to fill the void. This is my only issue with the game. Good but too easy
The characters on your squad act as continues. There are 19 playable ones in all, which is way too many continues. On my first play through I only lost four guys. On my second playthrough I lost two. When you continue the boss fights after a character dies, you literally pick up where the last guy died. The boss' health does not regenerate at all, but you have full health and ammo with every continue. That being said, you can stand in place and just shoot and continue on repeat until the boss inevitably dies from getting overwhelmed by your continues. The weapons are not balanced. Every new weapon you pick up becomes the new best weapon. Towards the end, fighting non boss enemies with the machine gun becomes a joke. You will have no need to dodge or move anymore. Incredible and awesome just for very very hard core fans of aliens movies.
It's a great game the only bad thing on the game is the duration of the game because it's to short but great. If you like the movies you gonna loved this game and have many fan service in all the game stage!!. the gameplay are very good just have a little problem the time reload your weapon and the turnback button thats all,great music ,sounds efect, are great , and excellent choice to play on Nintendo DS.It's a great game the only bad thing on the game is the duration of the game because it's to short but great.
