Don't ride without one on public streets/roads...

This is the third or fourth Third Eye Mirror I've purchased due to my rough handling not the product itself. That said, I would not ride my bike on the road without it! I scan behind me often and see how drivers either give me room and pass with abundant clearance, or stare at me and not realize they are drifting towards me. Both are reasons to know what to expect, and ride defensively as needed. Without my rear facing mirror, I'd be trusting them. We all know about distracted drivers.

    third eye blind!

I think this company makes other good products, but this super thin gauge plastic item is not one of them. Of course weight is important when using on eyeglasses, but priced over $10, I would expect more design adjustability on the mirror than the tiny ball joint that spins, but only swivels a few degrees. The stem rod is also not very adjustable at the fixed end or in length so focal point cannot be changed for various placements (glasses vs hat vs helmet). This means if mirror surface is too close to your eye it creates a huge blind spot safety hazard- literally "third eye blind" !

  • Lightweight and stays the way you adjust it.

Lightweight, inexpensive, easy to attach, easy to adjust, and stays the way you adjust it. But, of course, you must be wearing glasses. You can scan what's behind you by slightly tilting and/or turning your head. You can't do that with a handlebars mounted mirror. And it comes in a small transparent storage case. Knowing what's behind you and when it's safe to make a left hand turn helps keep you vertical. This mirror is much cheaper than a trip to the hospital.

  • Great safety accessory!

Super light weight and easy to mount on glasses. Allows for clear rearward view of oncoming traffic while riding a bicycle. No road vibration transferred to the mirror, which would cause blurring like a handlebar mounted mirror. Greatly increases safety!

  • Not the best for sunglasses - may be OK for a helmet visor.

I cannot seem to find where this would work except possibly on a visor of a helmet. The stalk is too short for my sunglasses bow and would cause me to take my eyes off the trail. It is well made and has a wide range of adjustment but not too useful for me as my helmet has no visor. I fitted the helmet with DA BRIM for those really sunny days.
