About this product

Product Information

Cost Management" was written in response to changes in the global business environment. Unbridled access to information and intense competition has meant that cost accounting has become an increasingly important tool for managers and accountants alike. Most textbooks focus on content knowledge and then expect students to 'magically' demonstrate skills such as decision-making and critical thinking. "Cost Management" better prepares students for professional success by bridging the gaps between Knowledge, Skills and Abilities. Many students fail to recognize the assumptions, limitations, behavioral implications and qualitative factors that influence managerial decision-making. The dynamic, new author team focuses on cost accounting methods, techniques and the quality of cost accounting information used for decision-making to deliver a thoroughly modern treatment of cost accounting topics.

Exam question documents delivered as described. How useful they are, I will have to see- but the idea is that I can use the questions to investigate further and prompt studying of the area of knowledge, not spoon-feed myself. The Seller was quick and responsive.

hmm... I bought the book cuz I am taking Cost Accounting class. Really, this is the time you would buy the book when the teacher at the campus ask for it. So, the book is pretty good I heard. Has little stories to go along. Worst part about text book is..they change pretty frequently. Atleast at my campus. Trying to make money. This 2004 book is as good as 2007 edition. What could be changed in cost system? Some new theory? Come on! This is what I just feel. We buy the book for 4 months and it's ready to be trash after that. Not so good! Well, Hope you have something to learn. I am now taking this class. Lets see how it goes.!

  • great book

Needed the book for class. The book explained it better than the professor. It is older (2004) but I don' t think that really means anything. I would def. recommend it to other professors or students taking this class.

  • A book that is useful

I like the format of this book and I like the examples it gives and how it shows you samples of the financial statmnts and reports that it teaches you to create so that you have a quick reference guide for future constructing of said financial documents.

  • Cost Managemet

Good explainations. Lots of examples. Organized in a logical manner. Great textbook!! Would definately recommend.
