The popular arcade game CAPTAIN AMERICA AND THE AVENGERS has come crashing onto the Sega Genesis. Red Skull is using his mind-control device to lead the forces of evil against all that is good, with the intention of taking over the universe. It's up to you as one of four superheroes Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, or Vision to take on Red Skull's minions and keep the world safe. Through five levels of mind-blowing action, you'll fight the good fight, collect power-ups, and do whatever it takes to keep the villains down. There's also a two-player option that lets you go head-to-head against a friend.

    One of the classic arcade games from the 90s.

    A classic genesis game and just as fun as I remember from my childhood. Play as one of Ironman, Vision, Captain America or the amazing Hawkguy. 2 player mode is blast and it's a good classic game to play with friends or kids.

    Best Marvel Sega Game

    Better than the other Marvel games on Sega Genesis. You have your choice of protagonist, Captain America, Vision, Iron Man, and Hawkeye and you have to defeat miriad of villians from the classic Avengers' Rogues Gallery. The sprites respond well game play with the aesthetically pleasing background, and interactions with the super-villians on each level.

    Captain America on the genesis reviewed in America

    It's a true gem in gaming especially if your into comic books. The graphics are good for its time, the story is fun if I remember right it was taken from a comic series by the same name. The only problems with the game is that buying the appropriate equipment to play it is difficult as gaming technologies keep moving forward so it's difficult to find a replacement controller or genesis. It's even more difficult to get them fixed due to this same fact. Overall though Captain America and The Avengers is a fun side scrolling beat up game easily worth at least taking a look. The main reason I bought it was as a birthday present for a friend of mine who has a genesis and we had fun playing it until he had to leave for work, taking a trip down memory lane. I could recomend this for a younger ...

    Classic Beat 'em Up goodie

    Best played with a friend. One of my favorite beat 'em ups on the Genesis/Mega Drive. Not the longest or most difficult in its genre, but still a classic, fun, and has good replay value. Simple pick-up-and-play game.
