    Tamiya 1:32 scale P51D Mustang

    One of the best 1:32 P51 Mustang model kits built!! This model kit is not recommended for beginners due to high count of parts. Model kit gives you lots of options. All control surfaces can be built to move. The engine cowlings feature magnets which allow you to remove to view the highly detailed Packard Merlin engine. Kit comes with highly detailed cock pit, pilot and standing figure. Aircraft can also be displayed on a stand. Kit includes Photo Etch and a decal sheet for three different aircraft. I highly recommend this beautiful kit!!!!

    Tamiya's 1/32 P-51D Mustang: quite likely the best model aircraft kit ever produced

    Exquisitely engineered for ease of construction, this kit is remarkably easy to build considering the incredible detail provided in its cockpit, engine and wheel bay sections. Tamiya has managed to produce a highly detailed and accurate Merlin engine with very thin engine cowling parts that are held on by small magnets and virtually snap into place - the result is a model that looks great with or without the engine revealed. The overall fit of the plastic parts is excellent, with little to no need for putty or sanding. The surface detail is exquisite, with sharp, accurate and restrained rivets, raised detail and recessed panel lines.     No need to recite history here....the P-51's record of accomplishment speaks for itself. It's been a personal favorite of mine for well over 40 years, ever since I saw my first Mustang at an airshow in Novato, CA. As a modeler involved in the hobby since I was nine years old, I've built nearly 500 kits,, and this was the first truly accurate Mustang kit I have ever seen. Like all of us Mustang nuts I've been waiting for this kit for a long time, and Tamiya did not disappoint me!     I was unable to afford the P51D Tamiya kit. Money is tight. So I purchased the Revell kit and was satisfied except for one detail, no gun bay detailing. Being a scratch builder I bought these wing assemblies and am integrating them into the Revell kit, a slick easy transition. Thank you, they were just the ticket for my aircraft.

    1/32 Tamiya P51D Mustang

    Most accurate P51D kit in any scale and goes together without any fit problems which Is on par with all the other Tamiya models in any scale. Glad that I have one and maybe I will get another one. There's some aftermarket resin and photo etch but the kit is extremely well detailed on its own.
