    Lenci Clothes by Carol A. McKee (1982)

    I love this book and I searched high and low to get a copy. The pictures are many and the dress designs are easy to follow. The reading is interesting and you lose yourself in time with the history of each piece of clothing. I was also interested in seeing the different types of hands and feet and the year that they represent. Also the construction of underclothing and the years they represent. You feel a little more of a pro on these dolls after reading this book. Loved it. Vicki I can now add to my book review. I have made three of the outfits and two of the hats. It was not hard. If anybody is going to attempt using the Organdy fabric then you might find a ruffle gathering attachment for your machine a must. The attachment I am using is from Janome. The felts I am using are from ...

    A must for anyone needing a GREAT doll outfit LENCI

    Carol A. McKee / Lenci Clothes Published by: Hobby House Press 1982 / ISBN: 0875881912 Hardcover as issued. A very helpful book. Although it only have a few outfits, the patterns can be adapted to include other designs for the established sewing aficionado. Basic teddy and shoe patterns are a blessing since they tend to go missing. Lovely b/w pictures of a few dolls featured, which is a nice plus.     Creating the Lenci Look

    This book is fact based with lots of information on Lenci dolls. Recreating doll clothes with the look of the originals makes the task worth while. Complete and accurate patterns and sewing details that are easy to follow. Plus the pictures of the original clothes next to the recreations shows the accuracy of this book. Cannot stress enough how much knowledge is contained in this book
