The Manfrotto 190XB Tripod features the maneuverable 840RC2 ball head with a quick release plate, allowing for easy camera insertion and removal, as it smoothly locks into and out of place by using the release lever and separate locking switch. For stability, the aluminum design of the Manfrotto uses three adjustable legs that allow you to raise and lower the Manfrotto to the height you need and then lock the legs into place using the flip lock levers. In addition, the center column slides up and down for added height as needed. The ball head allows you to easily center and move your camera into the best position, letting you take the best photos. The double tilt head easily moves back and forward while the quick release plate accommodates a wide range of camera brands, including Sony, Nikon, Canon, and even smaller video devices, connecting via a D-ring knob on the underside. The 11-pound maximum capacity of the stand gives you a lot of leeway when attaching devices. The 8.8-pound weight of the Manfrotto 190XB lets you carry the stand with you wherever your photography takes you, making it easier to carry your bags of equipment and accessories at the same time. Light, yet sturdy in design, the tripod lets you to switch out your lens easily when needed and adjust the column without fear of movement. Handy accessories include the low-angle adapter, which allows you to take photos at just 3.3 inches off the ground. The Manfrotto’s ability to accommodate brands such as Sony, Nikon, and Canon, including video devices, makes it a great choice for the photographer on the go.     Best photo tripod for the money and for me!

    I am always taking pictures. I love close up "macro" photography so very often I need a tripod to steady the camera for such fine detail. I bought one on eBay about 7 years ago which was very nice too. It was carbon fibre and quite light. The thing I found I did not like was it had screw down leg adjustments and it had 4 section legs. It always took me such a long time to adjust. This was something I never thought of because I never had a tripod before. I went looking at a local camera store to sort of get an idea of price and what was out there on the market now. The Manfrotto that I bought has so many features for the price. The camera post has a wide array of adjustment, the legs adjust all the way down or all the way up, it is light and very stable. In the stores they run between $150 ...

    Professional grade

    This is a robust, sturdy piece of equipment. I’m totally satisfied with its look and feel as well as ease of use. My old tripod was light and flimsy compared to the 190XB which is a much more stable platform when deployed. The padded handles make it easy to grab on to when transporting as well. I highly recommend this tripod to anyone looking for a professional, sturdy, tripod.

    Great product!

    The only complaint I would have is the packaging was not perfect! The item just came flopping around in an box with no padding or anything! But it was not damaged so I can’t complain :)

    EXCELLENT PRODUCT

    I am a 64 year old female who found this tripod very easy to use. I carried it in my backpack when not in use, and it was very easy to pack and unpack. Very versatile and highly recommended.
