    This receiver sounds pretty good & gets the job done.. if you buy one of these with out high expectations,you'll probably be happy with it.. I think that's about the best way to describe it..

    i wish this lil wonder upon any1 who's lil $ n a willingness 2 learn setup

    trust me this lil bad boy is my back up cuz i buy/sell/trade up constanly.i picked mine up for 10$ at thrift store in seattle.i own macintosh/carver/phase linear/tube gear new & old/hk/jbl/speakerlab/paridigm/garbage bose "except 901" blah blah blah, . . . this hoe hum lil buddy of mine is still rock solid.even more than the sony ES gear i have.its super adaptive n still brings smiles to my face.and btw if u read the review talkin head on this unit with some guy sayin bose & polk are high end lmmfao!!!!!!!!! there just inefficient yo and since this bargainly priced sony has infinite e,q, adjustments for bass/mid/high levels to select individually for every channel X's every surround mode setting its needless to say u had no clue how to opperate this lil wonder.lacking hdmi is the ...

    Legacy receiver

    This receiver is part of a generation of equipment that is 'outdated'. I wanted something economical for an outdoor theater set up in my back yard. Since it is an older generation (5.1), it takes less speakers(5)not counting the sub-woofer. This made it easier to set up and break down. It has plenty of power(100 watts/channel) and the sound is excellent. From other reviews, I understand that they are fragile, but for the price (around $100) I took a chance on it.

    Great sounding Stereo Control Center

    This is a Digital, Audio, Video Control Center. Very complicated, but every part I have tested works just fine. It is a very good value for me as I would have had to replace my whole system without it. Sounds great.

    If your looking for a great sounding reciever this is it unbelievable the sound that comes out of this with my jbl front firing speakers and jbl 12" powered sub my walls shake beautiful highs and mids .cannot go wrong happy with my old school reciever.
