    new philosophy to the test

    I've almost always loved Crowe's style of storytelling and never tire of rewatching 'Almost Famous' and 'Jerry McGuire' (which I consider his best). Even though his more recent 'Elizabethtown' didn't match up the standards of those two films, that too had its wonderful moments (and it was better than 'Vanilla Sky', Crowe shouldn't have attempted remakes). Like most of his films, 'Jerry McGuire' has soul. Crowe's eloquent screenplay is rich in humour, drama and lots of energy. It features some of the finest dialogues and one-liners like 'You had me at hello', 'Don't cry at the beginning of a date, cry at the end like I do'... and the actors deliver them marvelously. Another fascinating aspect is the brilliant characters. Each and every one of them, no matter how long the screen time, has ...

    Jerry Maguire

    I love this movie, it is a great chick flick the guys can like too. It has lots of sports talk, mixed with some romance. Very inspirational also. Leaves you warm and fuzzy at the end. The little kid in the movie is adorable and funny. Cuba Gooding is incredible. He is funny, serious at times. A great movie.

    Jerry Maguire -- Tom Cruise, Cuba Gooding, Jr.

    In "Jerry Maguire," it is my opinion, Cuba Gooding steals the movie. Tom, throughout the movie, isn't even acting. Rather, he is just being his arrogant self. Cuba's character is totally off-the-wall. Worth watching for Cuba, as is "As Good As It Gets" just for Cuba (and Jack Nicholson too). I did not care for Renee Z's performance, thought it was a bit stiff.
