  • Your going to love this live recording

I've ownned every Butterfield Blues Band alubum that was ever produced. And some not so well known (Fathers and Sons Muddy Waters and a host of blues masters). I was at the Monteray Pop festival in 1967 and I was blown away with the tune Drifting and Drifting that was perfomed there. And you will love the live version on this CD as well as every tune. Paul has been my hero harp player since I was 16 years old I'm now 58. I've pattern my own Harp playing after his style and have played for 42 years off and on. If you play a harp this is an outstanding teaching CD. You will hear a Harmonica Master at his finest.

  • Paul; Butterfield Live

Paul Butterfield was a powerhouse in Chicago Blues for decades. I was fortunate to see him live with his Better Days band in the mid-'70's, and the quality was obvious to the sell-out crowd. I have a collection of 8 Butterfield albums, some live and some studio recordings. I heard this album in '72 or '73, and hunted it at numerous venues for 30 years, as I believe it to be the best of his albums. This solid album showcases the best of the Butterfield Blues band. The quality of the music coupled with the talent in the band combine to make this album 'Best of Genre' in my opinion. If you like Blues harp coupled with great horns, you will thoroughly enjoy the ambiance of this live album.

  • There is another Live CD....not as good in my opinion.

I am a harp player and need to hear as much Paul B. as possible. This was the final addition to my (addiction) collection. After not knowing it was out there. Driftin and Driftin is the best slow blues harp song for the novice or pro. I was recommended by a friend who plays professionally and this is the best. Give a listen and learn a few things. Paul is amazing on this one.

  • Perfect for goods received. I am very satisfied.

CD with purchase. I like music. In particular, the '60 s and' s 70 years of rock, blues, jazz, progressive rock music collector.
