Product Information

In each of the three levels in Kangaroo for the Atari 2600, your job is to help Mother Kangaroo rescue her baby at the top of the screen. As she climbs ladders, hops along tree branches, and jumps over logs, she must contend with apple-throwing monkeys. The mama kangaroo can either dodge or punch out these monkeys (as she wears boxing gloves), but she must jump over or duck under any apples that are headed her way.<br><br>During the rescue mission, Mother Kangaroo can pick fruit (such as strawberries and grapes) for extra points. When she rings a bell, the fruit replenishes itself and she can pick it again (up to three times). <br><br>Kangaroo is also available for the Atari 5200, which is a more powerful system. In that version of the game, there are four levels (just like in the arcade game) instead of three. The Atari 2600 version of Kangaroo is missing the level that features the totem pole-like stack of monkeys.

    If it's UNDER $2, go ahead and get it. Otherwise get something BETTER! C-

    Ergh YUCK! "I REMEMBER" the graphics being WWWAAAAAAAYYYYYY BETTER THAN THIS!! So, with that being said, my memories must have been with the 5200 instead as my neighbor had a 5200 and I had a 2600 so we used to swap systems sometimes to play different games. I "thought" I HAD kangaroo, but it must have been Karen. LOL Other than the "inferior" graphics, the game is really fun! CUTE as a matter of fact. Resembles a kind of cross between Donkey Kong, Mappy, & Crazy CLimber but with A PUNCH! hehehe
