  • great stories, great characters

Being an avid Gorillaz fan when "Demon Days" came out in 2005, I gradually became curious about the story behind Gorillaz. The more I looked, the more interested I became. When the book was released, I was excited. I was hoping that it'd answer all my questions like "what the heck happened to Noodle?" The book ended up doing this and more. It contained the history behind each of the members in the cartoon band and had material/footage that I had never seen before; this made them seem less distant from their fans. Also, they also go into each song and discern the meaning and details of them. The pictures in there were also fantastic and the sideline stories were entertaining. I would definitely suggest this to anyone who has picked up any Gorillaz album or is even starting to just listen to ...

  • RISE OF THE OGRE! RAWR!

I bought Rise of the Ogre because I'm a huge Gorillaz fan, and when I read it I was in love with the Gorillaz even more so! The way the book was written was awesome, and it ALWAYS kept me interested, and since I usually hate reading that is a BIG PLUS! The illustrations in it were amazing as well, and the book always kept me laughing. It was exactly what I expected yet also surprising. No Gorillaz fan is complete without Rise of the Ogre! The only thing is that it was written as if the cartoons were real and they were telling the story, so if you're expecting it to be written in Jamie Hewlett's and Damon Albarn's point of view you may be disappointed. Even so, it's an amazing read, and there are no dull parts in it. Over all Rise of the Ogre is my all time fave, it will keep your ...

  • Beautiful and just what I expected

Came packaged very carefully and was here in a flash! It’s as beautiful as I expected and I haven’t stopped reading it since! It’s the only thing keeping my quarantined mind busy after work and for that, I thank you.
