A familiar domestic interchange, played out with broad comedy--and mutual respect, too." - Kirkus Reviews "This funny story is told through an amusing exchange of notes, as Alex tries to convince his seemingly unshakable mother that he should be allowed to adopt a friend's baby iguana ("If I don't take it, he goes to Stinky and Stinky's dog, Lurch, will eat it. You don't want that to happen, do you?"). . . The tale is perfect for reader's-theater presentations and could also be used effectively as a writing prompt for older children. It will make even the most serious youngsters giggle." - School Library Journal

Synopsis
Alex just has to convince his mom to let him have an iguana, so he puts his arguments in writing. He promises that she won't have to feed it or clean its cage or even see it if she doesn't want to. Of course Mom imagines life with a six-foot-long iguana eating them out of house and home. Alex's reassurances: It takes fifteen years for an iguana to get that big. I'll be married by then and probably living in my own house. and his mom's replies: How are you going to get a girl to marry you when you own a giant reptile? will have kids in hysterics as the negotiations go back and forth through notes. And the lively, imaginative illustrations show their polar opposite dreams of life with an iguana., Hilarious notes between a son and his mom show how kid logic can be very persuasive. Good price and free shipping made book great value. Happy purchase and very excited to start reading this quality book. No complaints with seller book came on scheduled time. Came in envelope without any packing chips but the book was able to stay in good shape.Kafka on the Shore by Murakami, Haruki [Paperback] (#186410457677)
- e***j (78)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseSo I only gave them a 4 star for shipping because I ordered almost exactly the same product, from a seller in just about the same area, and they were more "on the ball". Shipping from this seller was very good mind you, but when competing with others, the more "dedicated" will usually win out. Next to that, the packaging was good and the item was priced better than at market. I'd still HIGHLY recommend this seller to other manga buyers!
- p***p (1107)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseAs a first-time user of an air fryer, I needed some help with the logistics and helpful hints, plus recipes, and this cookbook FLEW to my door in just a few days, thank goodness. The seller was excellent with price, shipping, and quality of the item. It is brand new, but won't stay looking this good for long, as I have already used it, and you know how cookbooks get splatters, etc. Good thing this is a high-quality cookbook! Thank you to the seller!
