    Great as a primary instrument.

    This bass truly has a lovely sound and a solid set of controls with which one can create bass havoc. Whether or not you like the finish, the bass attracts a good amount of attention. :) It has a good color palette for tone variation, from smooth p-funk sounds, to harder-hitting, mid-heavy driving sounds, to jaco jazz tones leaping with tonal character. It brings the lows as well, with a solid B. With a bit of setup, as is recommended with any bass, this is a rock-solid go-to bass.
