Product Information
Long ago, Robert Louis Stevenson wrote a book about pirates searching for an island filled with treasure, and in the updated Disney adaptation, they are looking for an entire planet. 'Treasure Planet' follows Jim Hawkins (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who grows up believing in all the stories about such a place. When a dying spaceship pilot gifts him with a holographic map to the famed planet, Jim commissions a ship and sets out on his voyage. Through action, humor, and stunning visuals that combine hand-drawn traditional 2-D animation and 3-D computer animation, the movie centers on this journey. All the while, Jim must be wary of his ship's crew and a cook named John Silver, who may want the map for themselves.
