    Lots of features as a "communicating thermostat" but very expensive

    We installed a high efficiency Lennox system years ago which included a previous generation iComfort thermostat. It started having a few problems a few weeks ago so I started shopping for a replacement. After looking at a number of Smart thermostats, I determined that I had to go with a newer generation of the Lennox iComfort thermostat to take advantage of the benefits of the system we installed as it requires a "communicating" thermostat, not just a smart one. So while I had rather not spend the money for such an expensive thermostat, I decided to go ahead but look for the best deal I could find on the latest generation thermostat.

    Great if you stay with Lennox products

    You are somewhat limited as far as Wi-Fi thermostats once you have a Lennox ecosystem but luckily this model addresses the shortcomings of the prior generation with a motion sensor enabled screen vs constant-on of the prior one which eventually “burned out”

    If you look you will save

    The wireless hub for my existing S30 thermostat burned out, and the ac company wanted 900.00 to replace and everywhere else was 5 to 6 hundred. So for 100.00 I got a replacement hub and another thermostat so if the existing one goes down I can swap it out.

    Best Wifi Thermostat

    These have to be wired via the tstat wiring, to furnace, to work. Then the tstat wire goes to the furnace board. It’s super easy. Many people just don’t understand this concept. These are great. It’s the best thermostat with wifi that we’ve had.
