    Mel Brooks & The Producers

    As much as I LOVED the MUSICAL PLAY ON STAGE, which was probably one of the BEST I've seen in Many Years - this Video does not serve the Musical Play very well. Everything is there, but it doesn't have that SPARK it did on Stage. Mel Brooks did an outstanding job of re-creating his Original Movie for the STAGE and it was a MONSTROUS HIT. I'm sure he's not thrilled with the results of this NEW MOVIE. The Jokes, the Songs, the Characters all really there, but it does not come across like it did in the VERY FIRST MOVIE with Zero Mostel & Gene Wilder - much of course has been added but it didn't bring me to my feet shouting full of joy and laughter. In fact it is not as FUNNY as it was on the STAGE, or maybe being translated to Film somehow changed its form. Thank ...

    The Best of Mel Brooks with a great cast.

    This is a wonderful movie. The cast is from the Broadway Play with Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick. Uma Thurman, Will Ferrill, Gary Beach, Peter Bart and others. You can't go wrong with The Producers.

    AWFUL!

    Worst movie I have ever seen! I didn't even finish it. My wife did stick it out until the end but didn't like it either. I would rather have spent my time watching a documentary on walls. AWFUL!
