Nice Small Volume Pump For Light Work...
Well made little air pump; however, it has just enough horsepower to drive one Model 150 Badger airbrush pushing low viscosity media. If you need to have more air at your command, I recommend looking for more horsepower. Having said that, this little pump is amazingly quiet with lower than expected vibration. One could park it on the bench next to the project being worked on with no issues. I do recommend a foot control click-on and click-off power switch, a low pressure range precision regulator/filtration unit, and a small volume accumulator or pulse attenuator tank to smooth out air flow. Solid Single Airbrush Air Supply
I’m calling this an airbrush air supply because it is not meant to be a compressor. It moves airbrush-level CFM at about 20 psi. That’s all an airbrush should need. One should not be trying to “push” paint out of an airbrush. The 80-2 has no on-off switch. It works awesome with a remote foot switch. Heavy and solid, and rather quiet. Louder than a fish tank air pump, but much quieter than an automotive tire inflator pump of similar size. Use the recommended hose adapter with the bleed hole to avoid pressure build up in the hose. Or make one by drilling a #74 hole near the taper end. Eliminates the burst of air when the airbrush is triggered. It flows pre-mix model paint (Citadel and Modelflex) through my Badger 200 bottom feeder nicely. I’m calling this an airbrush air supply because it is not meant to be a compressor.
