It Ain't Just About the Cooking
I've been a fan of Paula Deen's cookbooks for years so when I came across an autobiography with reading it, I snatched it up. The story is pure Paula and unvarnished. Paula's story is a rags to riches story with a teenage-wrong first marriage, two great sons to support, and a determination to work hard to keep the wolf from the door. Paula's brother, Bubba, and her husband, Michael, read their chapters. This is not a classic in the making but it's honest and clean.I've been a fan of Paula Deen's cookbooks for years so when I came across an autobiography with reading it, I snatched it up. The story is pure Paula and unvarnished. Paula's story is a rags to riches story with a teenage-wrong first marriage, two great sons to support, and a determination to work hard to keep the wolf from the door. Ahhhh, So That Is Paula Deen! The Bold Truth.
Good Afternoon! I read this auto-biography of Paull Deen last week. It left me thinking hard. " She is for real all right! " She is so honest in this book it's scary. I don't know if I could that. She tells all about her life in here, GOOD and BAD both. If you Like Paul Deen you'll love this. And she includes a recipe after each chapter. It's a PLUS ;-) You can certainly tell her kids wre ALWAYS important to her. Her entire family was and still is. I think you'll love this! I love Paula Deen. Who doesn't? She is the best friend you wish you had in your life right now. This book is so down to earth and revealing that I could not put it down and all the time I am telling myself that I just love this woman this much more for pouring her life, bad and good, into this fantastic book. I won't give anything away, but if you think you know the real Paula from watching her on TV, well, you've got a lot more to learn! Thanks, Paula for the best biography I have read in a long time!I love Paula Deen. Who doesn't? She is the best friend you wish you had in your life right now. IT ALL ABOUT THE COOKIN - PAULA DEAN
I could not wait to start this book on tape. I put this book on as soon as I received in the mail. It was wonderful. She is so honest and tells it like it is!!! She has such a down home way about her even with all of her success! I have watched Paula Deans cooking shows and just loved her. She reminded me of my grandmother. Those SOUTHERN women are pretty special! I hope all of you who love Paula will take the time to listen to this book. It made it more specail that the book is in Paulas own voice. LOVE this book!!!!!I could not wait to start this book on tape. I put this book on as soon as I received in the mail. It was wonderful. She is so honest and tells it like it is!!! Good Reading.....CD'S better
I have watched Paula Deen every since she came on the food network. She is definitely one of my favorites so when this book came out about her life I decided to read it. It was a great read and I actually purchased the 6 CD'S of this book and listening to her was even better. The CD'S are in Paula's voice as she does do her own CD'S. A must read.
