Surely 26 million people cannot be wrong, as original Mac guitarist Peter Green's creation became the prime example of AOR long after his departure. The inner strife and turmoil of the band is credited as having helped to make this many-headed beast into such a success. Keyboardist Christine McVie sparred with husband/bassist John, and singer Stevie Nicks scrapped with boyfriend/guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. Drummer Mick Fleetwood held the emotional mess together with confident steadiness as demonstrated in his confident, inventive playing throughout the record. Nicks' fiery vocals on "Go Your Own Way" complemented McVie's beautifully understated style on tunes like "You Make Loving Fun," exemplifying their successful fire-ice dichotomy.DVD Features:Region 1Audio: Stereo - English Dolby Digital 5.1 - English MLP 6-Channel - 96 kHz - 24 bit MLP Stereo - 48 kHz - 24 bit

DVD-Audio version of an old classic

The sound is more detailed, the there is a change in the order compared to the original, that is Songbird is now last. Also you will hear an extra track, Silver Springs, not on the original. You will hear a clearer bass response and the voices are more true to life. Of course you will need a DVD player with a surround sound 5.1 processor, 5 speakers each with separate amplifiers.

  • Classic album's best sound....with a twist

This DVD-A is clearly the best sounding digital version of this great album. The track order is the remaster one, adding Silver Springs and putting Songbird at the end. It takes a little bit to get used to. The surround features do not stand out, though the overall clarity really does. Stevie's songs sound best on the DVD-A where it almost appears Lindsay's were recorded with stereo in mind all along. Still, if you have the DVD-A and any other CD release in your car, your going to want to choose the DVD-A. I give it a good rating because it does not blow you away like the DVD-A of Hotel California or the SACD of Dark Side of the Moon.

  • Great Sound and Content

Excellent high resolution stereo sound. Documentary on "The Making Of Rumours" enlightening and enjoyable. Very nice "package".
