With an open enclosure in the back for easy installation, these ceiling speakers will pair well for performance with your home theater system.The speaker features an 8-inch polypropylene woofer that gives you rich mids and bass tones. If you turn up the volume on these Klipsch models, you'll discover 160 watts of peak power. It's possible to connect these coaxially designed units to other in-wall speakers too. The rear panel has simple push-and-pull functionality for positive and negative connectors. They're neatly marked with red and black colors that stand out from the base of the polymer-cone woofer.In the center of the Klipsch speakers, you'll notice a small satellite with two wires extending into the rear housing. This is the 1-inch wide polymer-dome tweeter. It produces clear trebles that complement the bass below. When the aluminum grille is installed on the in-ceiling unit, this audio part will still be visible.The aluminum grille that comes with these in-ceiling accessories is paintable too. This feature makes this ceiling speaker ideal for all rooms in the house, including bathrooms, kitchens, and saunas.Whether you have this system hooked up to TVs or simple video input, you'll always enjoy a sensitivity level of 89dB. In fact, you'll also have an 8-ohm impedance, which makes the speaker suitable for low-power devices without the creation of frustrating distortion. Another benefit to these units is the frequency response of 56 to 20,000Hz. The resulting sound is smooth and rich as you turn up the speaker during a news show to hear the information being given. You might also like to turn it up during a movie, just in time to hear a powerful musical interlude.The R-1800-C offers you further flexibility with the option to use it as either surround sound with your home theater or for stereo listening with your multi-room system. It handles up to 40 watts of power, according to its RMS standards, so both high and low frequencies are clear to the ear. You'll experience less hassle when installing the unit, too, because the cutout dimensions for the product design are less than 10 inches in diameter. When you receive your electronics, each box has one complete unit so that you can customize any stereo configuration. Simply check that the wall or ceiling panel is at least 3/8th of an inch thick, and it will support the product for many years.
