Im still trying out the tone bar, I put it in one of my acoustic guitars with no pickup, it defiantly changes the tone. The guitar went from lots of treble to a more woody tone. I think brace patterns will cause differing tones, all of the guitars I build have x braces accentuated by finger bracing. I am doing a recording now to see if I prefer the woody , or mellow tone ,over the treble sound. One thing about these tone bars you can take them out and use pins again with out any conflict.

I was skeptical about this device but I gave it a try and I’ve got to say it really made a difference. I have an old Seagull S6+ cedar top that was never as bright sounding as I would like so I put one on it first.
The difference was obvious right away. The guitar now sounds brighter and louder. Great invention!
