      • Great collection for any Hendrix fan.

I am a Jimi Hendrix fan to begin with, so I suppose that helps. It was recorded on New Years Eve/New Years Day in 1969/1970. It is recording of what was left from the Band Of Gypsies album which was an album produced to settle a lawsuit against Jimi. Much of the songs are jams such as the version of Stone Free on disc one. This version is also a bit more jazzy. The collection also contains two extra versions of the song Machine Gun. As a friend once told me line them up against the version of the song from Band Of Gypsies and I dare you to pick one that is better than the other. Another highlight is Jimi playing Auld Lang Syne. It's the only version that counts for me.
