Gem of a product, wish I'd found this years ago.
Far superior to plastic patty formers, which I tried briefly, earlier Disassembly required to wash after use is the only minor hassle, but product well-designed and should last "forever" while offering excellent control of size&depth of patties. Am using it on (Bob Evans) sausage patties as well as ground round beef patties. Takes a little bit of trial&error if you're picky and want to be precise and consistent. I like our patties thin, so I apply plenty of compression and use precut wax paper on both top and bottom to aid in avoiding meat sticking to the metal when removing the patty. Cutting from wax paper roll is no big deal, simply cut a rolll piece in half to make two roughly 6" squares. There is no need to cut them to circles which woould actually tend to be counterproductive ... Yes the metal is "non-stick" but the paper, especially on top, also keeps the device almost clean and easier to wash after use.
