      I'm sorry but this item was not used but NEW! Item package was in really bad shape but the sensor itself was PERFECT! Shipping was very fair, and the item was in a bomb proof oversize box and was rapped to 5 times its size in bubble wrap! It also had the battery included. Not shown in the pictures.       Nice little scanner.

      A person needs to do research for what you would like to listen to and what type of system they use. Many Police department's use encryption. And you will be unable to hear them. Do your homework before buying!!

      It little hard to program but if you have a computer it mite not be so hard I don't I try to program it my self plus I couldn't get the scanner do what it post it keep up with some kind of number

      great feaatures

      Sure is efficeint as scanner and software paln for scannin g could not have been simpler. This scanner just chugs along with rapid scaning for hours without overheating. I'm a ham and needed a scanner like this for vhf spotting as I use a motorola xtl5000 and there is plenty of channels to program it with spotter reports from scanner the chore is a whole lot easier. Still learning how to use all of the features of this scanner, but this scanner is the best t scanner that I have ever had.

      Radio Shack Pro-197

      I own ten other radio scanners and this is the best of them all, I like being able to program the back ground lights to come on when a transmission is received and shut off when finished and the many different banks to load police,fire and emergency medical units to their own bank. Great radio.
