        Excellent Used replacement

        After months of failed attempts to get my old motor for my Shopsmith refurbished and months of Shopsmith supply chain failures unable to get me a new one, I was so pleased to find this used one on eBay. It’s traversed the continent fairly quickly within one week and appeared to be in good shape. It came wired and ready to plug into my previous shopsmith electrical harness. That piece of the installation was easier than I expected. The only glitch was that one of the foot pieces of the used motor was bent and required some manipulation to make it fit. All in all I am pleased with this purchase and very thankful to finally have my trusty, beloved Shopsmith working again just in time for Christmas gifts!

        good motor for the price

        The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is the sheave assy was frozen and did not slide as designed. I realize it was used but I am glad I caught it before installation. Other than that, it seems ok. I have not put a load on it yet so will update at that time.

        Exact motor swap made easy.

        The price of a new motor for my Shopsmith DC 3300 was over $300. I found this used motor on ebay. It is the correct replacement for my DC. Install was straight forward , and the machine is back to collecting sawdust.
