      The Best and Most Economical Way of Getting Superior Video Quality Out of Your PS1/2

      These official S-video cables are extremely well built and are pretty thick as well. The video quality is a LOT better than using those crappy AV/Composite Video Cables included with your PS1/PS2 console. I tested this with my PS1 on my Sony PVM and words cannot describe how good the scanlines look on this thing. They're an excellent alternative if you don't want to spend over $30 for an official set of component cables or a SCART to BNC adapter with a SCART cable for use on your equipment, although you'll certainly need the proper equipment with an s-video connector to use your PS1/2 with these cables. In addition, these cables are region free if that means anything to you.

      Nice cables.

      Overpriced, I would wait for PS2 HD Retrovision Component cables. I got this Sony playstation 3 s-video cable for my playstation 1 after regretting selling my monster s video cables. The sony s-video cable has better quality picture in regards to colors, darks, and sharpness. I have noticed jailbars in games like Tekken 3 when using a ps2 with component cables. With this cable you get an image that is close to the quality of component but no jailbars. Only issue is that on my ps1 I had to insert hard until I heard it click and I thought I would break it.

      High quailty OEM PS3 S-Video Cable.

      Arrived quicker than I expected, I believe just under a week to Canada from the UK. Works perfectly fine and appears to be OEM PS3 S Video cables. I did some tests on my TV and it doesn't give that checkerboard effect you see on cheap 3rd party cables. You can google the example with 'Reasons for Checkerboard Patterns with S-Video' and see the difference. The cables appear to be shielded well, and very durable. 10/10 Product and experience. Well worth the purchase!

      PS3 s-video cable for PS1/PS2

      Second one I've bought now just so I don't have to swap cables. Use the first on PS1 with an old tube tv and the PS2 looked so good I wanted to go back to the tube tv for it as well. The PS2 can do component out for an HDTV but darn if it doesn't look better to my eyes with the s-video on this old standard definition set. Highly recommended to see if you agree.
