      Great for the money.

      When I bought my first Bachmann train set it came with a modest transformer. Good for the train set that it came with but that was about all. I needed something with a whole lot more power since I had expanded my layout quite considerably. I bought this MRC Train Power 6200 transformer and it was like coming out of a dark room into a the hot sun. This baby has more then enough power to run all the train I have on the track and lights up my accessories too. I've added 2 more tracks to my layout and have 1 MRC 9200 transformer on 1 of my tracks and the other 2 have the MRC 6200 these do there weight for the money. I would highly recommend these to everyone working on DC.

      Power pack

      I like it except for fact that you don’t get real power to the train until you give it about 40% power. Of course compared to the power pack that came with the kit, it’s great. I’m pulling 5 cars and it does great once it gets going. All the lights on individual cars and caboose really light up.

      Can’t beat this unit

      If your not looking for a digital unit, this unit has the power to run a g-scale train. I have approximately 130 ft of track and a small train of seven cars, engine and caboose. It will run speeds from extremely slow to faster than my track will allow.It operates the same in forward or reverse. Perfect unit for my setup.
