Changes a Google (Nest) Wifi mesh node to "wired" and it's fast!

My house isn't big but it's stretched out in a line and my Google (Nest) mesh Wi-fi wasn't dealing with it very well. I used a pair of these Actiontec/TiVo Bonded MoCA 2.0 Ethernet to Coax adapters to create a wired connection to one of the mesh nodes on the other side of the house. After cabling it all up and restarting the mesh, the far node came up as "wired" in the Google Wifi app and BEHOLD I am getting 400Mbps on the far end of the house where the mesh could only provide 60Mbps before. It doesn't matter at all that these are branded "TiVo". Each adapter comes with a short piece of coax and an ethernet cable which made it really easy to connect.

    • No More Buffering on Roku

Converts Cat5 to coax at 1G. I used WCB6200Q on other end of coax which gave me 2ea 1G Cat5, and wireless network extender with dual concurrent radios supporting both 2.4GHz and 5GHz operation in 802.11 a/b/g/n, and also 5GHz in 802.11ac. The 5GHz 802.11ac solved my buffering problems on Roku. Great for extending a network when you have coax and no Cat5.

    • Wonderful alternative to running ethernet

I have a workshop some hundred feet from our house. When I put the shop in. I ran phone lines, security wires and cable to the shop. I in time added cameras around the shop, so I wanted good internet strength. By adding these to the internet network, I can use the barrier cable wire instead of relying on wireless internet. I went from a 3 bar signal to 5 now. I also moved the router to the shop, so the camera and ny Roku stick plus gets excellent signal strength. Love these products and would highly recommend them.

    • Works fantastically with new coax installation, and fios moca services.

I have FiOS service and have had the ethernet service port for broadband. As everyone knows, they only send the TV signals via coax. I needed to save space in my structured media cabinet since the G1100 router was just taking up extra headroom. This device is perfect and saves a lot of space.

    • Better Than PowerLine!

Works so much better than Powerline Adapters! Setup was a little tricky--the instructions weren't that great. The first MOCA adapter goes between the wall jack and your cable box / cable modem. Then, install the splitter where the cable line comes into the house, with the line from where you installed the first MOCA adapter going into IN and the OUT line going to your house's main splitter. The other MOCA adapters just go between the wall and the TV in that particular room. I had so many problems with signal interference with the powerline adapters--PlayStation Vue would constantly lock up. Now with MOCA, the number of lock ups is nearly none.
