Powerful movie that shows the other side if fame and fortune and how things are not always what they seem to be. Powerful performances by all but Garrett Hedlund impressed the most not just by his acting ability but also his singing. The relationship between Beau and Kelly is so finely tuned that he knows even before she does the inevitable outcome. The music is country's finest and why the movie didn't receive better recognition baffles me. When you see me getting smaller, I'm leaving, don't be grievin', I've just got to get away from here. If you see me getting smaller, don't worry I'm in no hurry, I've got the right to disappear". Waylon Jennings to Willie Nelson. Country Strong Surprize
A couple of weeks ago I saw an old movie from 2010,Country Strong, not being a country western fan,wasn't sure if I'd enjoy it,but it being free from the library had nothing to lose! Wow was I surprized.Not only did I enjoy the movie,but the music as well.I couldn't believe what a great voice Gwenneth had. I liked it so much I decided to buy off EBay.I also decided to order the CD,was wasn't as impressed.I was expecting the same songs as sang by the actors,but there were only a few. And no,didn't like the rest of the songs,sounded like the old want twang goi try I never liked.But as for the DVD I highly recommend.
