      The Greatest MP3 Player Ever Made

      I don’t think Apple, or anyone else will ever create a product so perfect for its function as the iPod classic. This charming little plastic and aluminum square boasts the most intuitive user interface out there, durability that puts other products to shame, and an iconic design that belongs in a museum. This is a device totally devoted to playing MP3’s, and it’s really, REALLY good at it. If you can find a model that has the Wolfson DAC soundcard in it, you will be amazed at the superior playback quality. It sounds much better than the playback on my smartphone. Another nice thing; my office has poor cell reception, meaning that my music listening is limited by both my data plan, and my phones ability to grab a signal. Not so with my iPod classic! I can listen to my tunes for days. Well, ...

      iPod Classic 5th Gen

      The unit I purchased fits the visual description of the item. The bad part is it needs a new battery as it does not hold a charge for long, and the battery is noticeably swollen. The mechanical hard drive also started having issues a couple of days ago, probably just a result of age and shipping. I will be replacing the mechanical with an iflash and the battery will be upgraded to a 3000mah battery as well. Pleased with purchase, just haven’t gotten to actually use it yet because of the battery!

      I love my iPods.

      I’ve used iPods for years. Along with Sirius it’s the only way I listen to music my wife and I have 3 iPods, one in the living room, one in my car and one she takes to the art class she teaches. We only have the 30G units but hold all the music we need. And it’s easy to add/subtract what’s loaded there. The sound is as good as the speakers or headphones you use. And I like the ability to “shuffle”. When I want to. The iPod works well with the Bluetooth integration in my car. It stops when a telephone call comes in or when I turn the engine off and starts up again where it left off the next time I start the car. Battery life is not indefinite so I’ve bought replacement iPods over the years.

      Bought an iPod classic 5.5 to keep me sane while working in a secure environment. Ordered it on a Thursday, it shipped Friday and I received it Monday, which was a day earlier than estimated, which made me happy. Came with a charging cable, headphones and case. The headphones weren’t great quality, but that’s fine since I have tiny ears and I wasn’t expecting to be able to use them anyways. Glad not to have to source a charging cable elsewhere. The case is a simple silicon sleeve that slides over the iPod. I requested a pink one and that’s what they sent me. A+. It was a bit of a learning curve at first trying to get zipped files and video to transfer over, but that was more of a user issue and figuring out what I needed to do in iTunes.
