      • A Great Book

This is a great book! But you will have to have the stomach for some gruesome outcomes. Also the blatent racism of the 1940s made me very angry. An example: a tank crew member of the 6888th (which the story is about) covering for an infantry charge sees avery badly wounded infantryman near his tank. At the risk of his life he jumps out of the tank to rescue the soldier who tells him "don't touch me - I do not touch niggers." The tank crewman rescued him anyway. The book is full of stories like this and just the difficult battles in Europe after Normandy. Get this book if you are interesred in humans overcoming difficult situations.

      • A must read and a long overdue tribute

This is an excellent read! Regret only not having purchased it years ago. Very intimate, historical and informing. Our Brothers In Arms tells not only the story our our history and military accomplishment, but the impact of milaltery service camradarie on life-long friendship and brotherhood.
