Good little board
This board is a small adjustable switching DC-DC power converter. It is a Buck converter and not a true switcher, but it gets the job done. Conversion to 5V runs at about 80% efficiency. I did find that the unit drops about 0.1V when under load, so if its important enough, you should adjust it while its under load. I wish they would make some 5V and 3.3V fixed buck converters of the same design, but I guess they sell more of the adjustable ones. One last thing is that I seriously doubt its going to handle 3 amps out. I ran it at 1 amp and it got lukewarm. I'm thinking that anything over 2 amps is going to need a heat sink (not included).This board is a small adjustable switching DC-DC power converter.
