    Prime Gospel Worship in Your listening Room

    This recording of the Fairfield Four is amazing. It is an incredible combination of Gospel from a group that not only knows and loves this music and worship to the Lord but is on Fire for Him. Combine that with an incredible technical record and when you play it back, you will have these five men leading worship in your listening room. I have not found anyone who was not amazed at this incredible musical performance! The first cut, is from a very old recording and not of the same quality as the rest of the CD so listen past that cut before deciding.

    pleasant surprise

    These guys have a fresh, easy to listen to sound, and you can tell they're having fun. The album has a good variety of songs. This is one of those albums that you can sing along to as you're driving or have as background music while you're doing other things. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised.

    Not their best but still first class.

    Not as exciting as they can be. The "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" film & concert "Down from the Mountain" have more fire but the voices - especially the baser than bass - are spot on. I have some of their original 78s and these to are less formal. Fortunately, not like other groups, they have not been spoilt by inappropriate accompaniment. This is pure gospel almost at its best.

    standing in the safety zone

    i purchased this cd for my 80 yr old father who use to sing in a group in the 50's so he really was overjoyed to get this cd plus i have enjoyed the music as well...it would be nice to hear and see singers return like these men. to the local church's

    Fairfield Four CD

    The Fairfield Four are and excellent group. They sing by harmonizing their voices together as their music. A wonderful group. If you like Christian music you should own a least one of their cd's. mike
