Though the bolts were smaller than the original stock ones I had to cut out. I was able to make a bushing so I could use them. They are in and working perfectly once I made bushings for the hinge pivot. The seller should put actual size in the add. Hex size, shoulder size, and bolt thread. Though I used these on a 1949 Lincoln which should have been the same as a 1949 Mercury they are not.
