Antenna is of good quality and tuned easily
Antenna is of good quality and tuned easily. It was received in a timely manner. You do need to order the base adaptor separately which was something I missed when ordering.

Lack of "ears"
"Ears" are severely lacking on this antenna. Compared new 3' Firestik to an old fiberglass antenna I had. Both tested SWRs at about 1.4:1. Radio output power is 25% higher on old antenna. QSOs with base station 15 miles away were loud and strong on old antenna- new Firestik could not receive the station and I was below the noise in identical tests for his perspective. I would not recommend this antenna for anything other than Channel 19."Ears" are severely lacking on this antenna. Compared new 3' Firestik to an old fiberglass antenna I had. Not worth a dime or the hype
For starters I'll say I have 5 different cb antennas and multiple CB's a swr meter ect. The wraps are so close to each other in order to fit 25ft of wire on a 3' rod 18ft of the 25ft is at the upper foot of antenna. The problem is if the waves don't hit the antenna at the perfect angle the wave is severely distorted. Hands down I have a 12" 1/4 wave antenna that gets better reception then this 5/8 wave.
