    It was such a good show

    While the quality of the film is often poor, this old series (which I bypassed in my youth for some reason) is fascinating to watch now through the filter of time and maturity. Considering how much emphasis this series placed on shoot-outs, it remains at its core a story of complicated, interesting relationships that holds up beautifully. The treatment of women and especially Native People and is cringe-worthy, although the main characters balanced this somewhat with more diverse viewpoints. The guest and bit-part actors are among the most memorable of the period and include several who later became famous, or at least well-known in very different settings. It's a shame the series was cancelled after this season. All four seasons (and they were long ones back then) are worth acquiring.

    Laramie Season 4

    Great show, but the video quality is not the greatest. We watch earlier seasons on Starz/encore Westerns in B&W and the image is quite crisp. I was surprised by the DVD quality - still worth watching .....

    Horrible picture and sound quality.

    Horrible picture and sound quality. The production company even has an apology at the beginning of the DVD. Instead of an apology, I would have preferred the same picture / sound quality I get watching it on the old time tv stations. Not worth buying.

    A classic of the late 50s and early 60s stands the test of time.

    This was my favourite TV programme as a teenager in England, apart from the fact that most girls I knew had a crush on Robert Fuller, including me! I was so happy to see the DVDs on Ebay. I have not watched them all yet but the colour is great and the stories are just as good as I remembered. Truly a classic western with great stars, co-stars and many wonderful guests at a very reasonable price.
