Ordered two items but one arrived without a heat sink and the other heat sink was not attached. Not packaged very well - coil was bent over on one. No instructions came with them but instructions with listing on eBay had what was needed. Battery must be connected to adjust voltage start/stop settings. Installed one controller on a Club Car 48v charger where controls and OBC had already been removed. It worked as intended. Have not tried other charger yet.
