About this product

Product Information

Paradox Studios' third X-Men fighting game finds the evil Bastion creating a weapon to destroy all mutants. In order to protect their unique and misunderstood species, Professor X and his team must combine forces with their archrivals in the Brotherhood. The storyline is broken into several segments, allowing players to choose a different playable character from the roster of good and evil mutants initially available.<br><br>Like similar fighting game offerings, each of the characters in X-Men: Next Dimension possess heavy and light variations of punch and kick moves that can be chained together to form multi-hit combination attacks. Complementing the special attacks are four super moves that can be executed once the requisite amount of energy has been stored. Reversals, throws, and midair juggles can also be performed in battle. The encounters take place in such familiar locales as the Savage Lands and the Danger Room, with each environment consisting of multiple interactive tiers.<br><br>In addition to the main Story, the game features Arcade, Survival, Practice, and Versus modes. Lastly, an Assets section contains the computer-animated sequences unlocked during Story mode, all of which can be viewed separately along with hidden characters, extra costumes, and other secrets. The lineup of 24 characters includes such notables as Cyclops, Juggernaut, Storm, Phoenix, Wolverine, Beast, and Mystique. Patrick Stewart provides the voice of Professor X as well as the narration in Story mode.

    X-Men:Next Dimension

    This game is good but could have been better.It has a few problem's that pull it's rating down.First is the lack of music or at least I can't really hear it.It make the fight's kind of boring and feeling empty.Second is the loading and it's brutal.The load time is long very lon.But to it's defence it loading all the stage's you can crash into.Third the control's they could have utilized all the button's they only use a few wisely.Forth the character desing's are for the most part horrible (Wolverine).Some character a lame compared to other's move wise.Now the good stuff.There is a lot of content to unlock like outfit's, character's and story's.All in all if your a fan of the X-Men and fighting game's buy it but don't spend too much on it.

    Pretty darn good.

    I'd heard about this game from some friends. They said that it had everything you could want in a fighter game. Well I would agree with that statement. It has a lot of playable characters from the start, very little blood and gore, the female characters aren't too sexualized, and I have yet to hear any cussing. The game has tons of unlockable goodies as well. It's only real demerit is the load times. It seems to take forever to load from stage to stage and the actual fighting moves are not quite as dynamic as say one of the newer Teken games. Over all though I do like it and recomend it.

    If you are an X-men fan this is a must have. It is the best x-men fighting game out there. As far as fighting games go it is not as fast as soul caliber or bloody roar 3 or 4, rather it runs a little faster then marvel vs. capcom. This game uses a 3D fighting style so one can side scroll. There are many different people to play as my favorite’s phoenix, forge, wolverine, toad, juggernaut, and of course magneto. There are many more like the sentinels, baston, bishop, havoc, lady deathstrike, blob, mystic, sabertooth, Cyclopes, dark phoenix, storm, gambit, rouge, Betsey and there is probably a few more that I cannot think of.     THIS WAS BOUGHT FOR MY SON. HE REALLY LIKES THE GAME. HE LIKED IT SO MUCH THAT HE HAD BORROWED IT FROM A FRIEND AND SOME HOW IT MANAGED TO DISAPPEAR. SO I TOLD HIM HE NEEDED TO REPLACE IT. LUCKILY I FOUND IT ON EBAY.I LOVE EBAY, I THINK ITS JUST GREAT. IF IT WEREN'T FOR EBAY I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE WOULD HAVE DONE . I COULD NOT FIND THIS GAME ANY WERE ELSE , ONLY ON EBAY.
