    Quality HBA for economical storage setups

    I flashed all of mine to latest IT firmware (I bought 3 and they all came with IR). It works perfectly as a HBA for 8 drives with 2x fanout cables (1x 8087 to 4x SATA). Tested with HP SAS Expander (v2.60 that will run +24 drives at 3Gbps/SATA2) and on its own it will run drives at 6Gbps, nicely monitored with MSM (google megaraid storage manager). Windows 10 automatically recognizes it and sets up the correct driver for it. Heatsink gets hot to the touch so I mounted a 40mm noctua fan with aluminum tape that fits perfectly and will cool it even at half speed, barely warm to the touch. This card is a lot of value for the money. Came well protected and as new.

    Run away.

    I bought two of these and neither of them worked. Both of them DOA! Both of the heat-sinks were different colors also. The replacements that I bought from a different seller looked like much higher quality. They both worked great as well and come with warranty. I'd be careful with these as they seem to be much lower quality and pieced together.

    Even though it came form overseas, it was still about 15 days early and it works like a charm! Appears original brand card. Plugged it in, connected my drives and Unraid saw them right away!

    Great for storage systems

    Bought this for a home Media storage system (UNraid), it works perfectly. Small footprint with lots of SATA ports. (needed to be flashed for UNraid, but there are several YouVideos showing how)
