  • Different, but not in a bad way

I was a pretty big fan of "What It Is To Burn," so when I heard they were coming out with a new CD (Say Hello to Sunshine, released 2005) I was pretty hyped (mind you this was when I was a sophomore in high school at the time). At first I wasn't to keen to the new sound. It is pretty different compared to their previous release. This one has a much more experimental feel to it. The music seems a little more mature. But I can appreciate that they didn't generate the same CD again. Having had some years to mature a little musically I took another listen and found myself enjoying this CD. Would definately say it's worth checking out. Nate is great lyricist. I would definately say you read along with the lyrics while listening to get a fuller experience. This is not "What It Is To Burn." If ...

  • Say Hello To A Great CD

This is an almost daily listen for me. Each song is unique and really demonstrates the wide musical abilities of Finch. The singer's voice is great and the instrumentation is some of the best around. Like I wrote in my review of their first album, their sound is not easily classified. It is not classic punk, but maybe hardcore punk/screamo/metal is a good way to describe their sound. If you like Bayside or AFI or any band like that, buy this CD and see how good Finch is and how much better they are than your favorite AFI or Bayside CD!

  • Rock On

When i first got this cd, i listened to it every single day no lie for atleast a month. Finch is AMAZING. If you liked their first cd and haven't listened to this one, its gonna throw you off a little bit. Its not the same, but finch has recreated them selves but still has the same hardcore scream-o theme going on. If you dont have it get it, i lost mine and so im gonna bid on this auction. • Say Hello to This!

The strongest tracks on this release are ultimately are the most jagged, from the opening guttural growl of "Insomniatic Meat" to tracks like "Fireflies" and "Miro" which shows the group's emo-core colors brightly. Their whisper-to-a-scream tendencies are all over the disc, as the group moves from mixed tempos with deep howls to straight-up belted-out choruses.

  • FINCH= THE GREASTEST!!!!!

Finch is one of the best bands around. that is why it's such a shame that they broke up. I guess that means no more finch CD's are coming. (it also may mean they wont produce them either. So get them while they last because if you like bands that are like hardcore punk with some screamo and some alternative then you should LOVE FINCH!!!!!
