These work great on smooth, slick surfaces like tiles and glass. On Yupo Paper, it says they'd work excellent but I personally did not like them on the Yupo Paper at all because you can not control the flow of the ink on this paper as well as on tiles/ceramic or glass. I guess that is everyone's personal 'should try' and 'preference' ? Do not store them in a warm environment, they will dry and the color and consistency will change, too. Mixing them with other colors.....well, not too good. Mixing them using the blending solution..... must figure out which colors may work because most will just blend into one big are of 'something darker'. Overall these inks are ok. I've tried other brands and they all really do the same....EXCEPT...when you make your own alcohol inks from real Sharpie ... These work great on smooth, slick surfaces like tiles and glass. Ok, so, the ink is not bad, no BUT...I've noticed that the consistency of the outcome on same surfaces changes after a while. Example: TILES: I used the inks on white tiles. The first 3 tiles came out super good. I love the running of the ink, the brightness of colors once dried.... 2 weeks later, I used the same colors on the same type of tiles and to my surprise, the inks were not as good blending as before. They did not run down the tile surface as well as before and when dried, all colors looked a little more dull, noticeable ! What happened? I did not know. I thought, may be I need to shake the bottles better before use? I did, but, nothing changed. I thought, may be the tiles were a bit different? Nope, they were the same tiles as I had used before. So, I do not know why, but I did ... Ok, so, the ink is not bad, no BUT...I've noticed that the consistency of the outcome on same surfaces changes after a while. Now I wonder what to do with all this ink, if I am not satisfied to use it at all :( I will try different brands.... I DO HAVE A TIP FOR ALL INK PAINTERS, THOUGH: I've actually made my own alcohol inks with (real) Sharpie brand felt pens and they came out AWESOME !!! You open the Sharpie pen, take out the inside color felt stick, cut it into 3 or more small pieces, put these into a small container or bottle and add 1 oz of 91% rubbing alcohol to it! Let it sit for 48 hour and drain into your ink bottle of choice. Voila ! A wonderful alcohol ink product for so much less money ! If you'd like a lighter color, add a little more alcohol to your container. Make sure you use Sharpie brand pens...I've tried this with less expensive felt pens and it works but the colors do not come out as wonderful as with the Sharpie brand.
